Well it’s been a busy old year so far!
Firstly the house move looks to be getting somewhere now, and hopefully we should be on the go at the beginning of February. We’re just awaiting the confirmation of the specific date. Only about a month and a half after the initial proposed completion date, but who’s counting eh!
I’m also now involved with two new projects with a couple of very good friends of mine, namely thegamescast.com and F1shoutbox.net. Now both are still very much under construction and planning right now but we’re looking to launch around Spring ‘06.
Firstly thegamescast.com. I expect some of you will remember the Vagusnet.com podcast. Well ‘The Podcasting Dream Team’ *cue mass trumpet blowing exercise* have returned in the form of myself, Paul and host/producer Father Fil. This all new podcast is going to 100% independant with each week seeing the latest news, game reviews and previews, competitions, general tomfoolery, and loads of other secret things we’re working on, all in our own unique style, directly to you via the magic of the interweb thingy.
However, we want to share the podcast-gaming love with as many people as possible. That’s why we’re looking for gaming websites out there that maybe don’t have their own Podcast, to syndicate the episodes with. If you’re interested in this, then simple email info@thegamescast.com, tell us who you are, which site you work for, and why TGC would be good for you. Then one of us will get back to you as soon as we’re able to. Just be aware that we are currently very busy trying to get things set up and working first, so if you don’t hear back straight away, dont worry. We will get back to everyone who shows genuine interest! You can also check back to thegamescast.com for further updates on the main site as they go live.
The second project is F1shoutbox.net. Again, this one is currently under construction but the forum for it is open and live now. As you may have guessed from the name, it’s based on the Formula 1 Grand Prix Championship with the intention being to bring all the latest news and race reports from the F1 Circus as it happens. Right now we’re working on building up the content for the main site whilst physical development still continues. The aim is to be fully open come the first race of the season (Bahrain GP 12th March 2006).
If you go along and register for the forum you can keep up to date with the developements of the main site by checking ‘The Beta Thread’ in the Site Suggestions forum. This build is changing every few days plus we’d love to get feedback from people to see what works and doesn’t work for them. Go on, have a look, you know you want to! Linky
Time for me to sod off and make myself useful. So much to do, so little time
Happy gaming!
